Lights, Camera, Game On!

Video Game Trailers & Marketing Content at Gameloft Toronto

Working at Gameloft Toronto was a dream come true for someone who grew up with LEGO and Disney. I got to create marketing content for major IPs, developing everything from launch trailers and event promos to user acquisition ads and in-game visuals. Every piece served a specific purpose, whether we were building hype for a new update, attracting new players, or supporting seasonal campaigns.

My process started with strategic planning. I'd assess what assets we had and map out the most efficient production approach. After gathering game captures, artwork, and CGI elements, I'd move into Blender or Cinema 4D to stage scenes and develop the narrative through dynamic camera work. Then I'd bring everything into After Effects for compositing, adding those finishing touches like particle effects, environmental elements, and visual polish that made each piece pop.

The final assembly happened in Premiere, where I'd craft full-length trailers alongside social cutdowns and evergreen content that could support campaigns throughout the year. This workflow let me deliver multiple asset variations efficiently while maintaining quality across all formats.

The collaborative environment made everything better. Our team constantly shared ideas, provided constructive feedback, and pushed each other to elevate every asset. Creating content for brands I genuinely loved, surrounded by people who cared as much about the craft as I did, made every project feel less like work and more like creative play.

Bringing the Steel Pan to Life with Google

One of my proudest projects was animating a Google Doodle celebrating Trinidad and Tobago’s national instrument, the steel pan.

I worked alongside Nicholas Huggins, who created the beautiful illustrations, and Etienne Charles, who composed the music.

I brought the motion, helping the story flow with rhythm and soul.
It was an honor to share a piece of my culture with the world.

2D & 3D Motion Design Wizardry

Animation has always been in my DNA. From the magic of Saturday morning cartoons to the work I create today, that love for movement, storytelling, and visual rhythm has only grown stronger.

Over the years, I’ve built a deep foundation in 2D motion design, refining my workflow to be both efficient and flexible. Whether it’s crafting a high-energy animated spot for a product launch or designing clear, engaging explainer videos for digital platforms, I approach each project with precision, creativity, and care.

I’m equally comfortable in the 3D space. From detailed product renders to simulations, lighting, and texturing, I bring a strong technical toolkit and a sharp design eye to every frame. My experience spans commercial campaigns, branded content, and instructional media, and I thrive on solving creative challenges at every stage of the pipeline.

If you’re looking for a motion designer who can plug in quickly, elevate your content, and deliver standout visuals—I’m ready when you are.

Making Your Mark Move

Logo animation is one of the most rewarding parts of motion design. It’s where branding meets storytelling, and every second counts. I love the challenge of bringing a brand’s identity to life through movement, using animation principles to create something that’s not just visually appealing, but deeply memorable.

Whether I’m collaborating with clients, creative teams, or agencies, I approach each project as a visual puzzle; how do we distill a brand’s essence into just a few powerful seconds? From bold and cinematic to playful and subtle, I craft logo animations that communicate clearly, resonate emotionally, and leave a lasting impression.

Case Study: Reinventing the Runner

Client: Gameloft Toronto
Role: Senior 3D Generalist
Focus: Concept Development, Creative Testing, Prototyping, Game Marketing

Challenge
The original Choice Runner campaign had been outperforming expectations, but we knew the concept was beginning to plateau. Our goal was to build on that momentum retaining what worked while finding new ways to surprise and engage our audience. The challenge? We were running into diminishing returns and creative fatigue.

Insight
Rather than remix the same formula, I stepped back and dove into research. I explored market trends, analyzed audience engagement data, and binge-played a weekend’s worth of FPS games (purely for research… mostly). I noticed a shared intensity and POV immersion that runner games lacked; an opportunity to evolve the format.

Solution
I pitched a new take: a runner-FPS hybrid that injected dynamic camera angles, stylized UI elements, and fast-paced feedback loops into the existing runner framework. The team loved it. We quickly moved into prototyping, testing new mechanics and visuals that leaned into energy, urgency, and clarity.

Execution
We developed a high-impact concept video with bold motion design, rhythmic UI cues, and punchy transitions. The visuals channeled the kinetic feel of FPS games while keeping the simplicity of a casual runner. I also worked closely with developers and marketing to ensure the visuals aligned with campaign goals and performance targets.

Results
The creative twist helped reinvigorate the format. Our early test content showed strong engagement, with improved retention and click-through rates across paid channels. More importantly, it sparked internal momentum and gave us a fresh visual language to scale the campaign.

Key Takeaways

  • Audience-first creative iteration is key to long-term campaign success.

  • Strategic playtesting can lead to meaningful innovation.

  • Creative cross-pollination (FPS + Runner) led to a unique, high-performing experience.

Case Study: Logo Animation! Knockout on the First Try.

Client: Game On Sports Supply
Role: Motion Designer
Focus: Branding, Animation, Story-Driven Design

Challenge

Logo animations are often like pulling off a dragon punch; timing, finesse, and a lot of trial and error. But this time, everything clicked. The brief called for a sleek, engaging motion identity that would bring their static logo to life in a way that felt expressive but not overdone.

Solution

After listening carefully to the client’s vision, I explored several stylistic routes, balancing energy with brand clarity. I leaned into motion principles that enhanced the logo’s personality without overshadowing it. It was all about creating a short, memorable sequence that made the brand feel alive.

Execution

The final animation used smooth easing, dynamic transitions, and a few subtle timing tricks to elevate the logo without making it feel flashy. I embedded subtle storytelling cues to align with their brand ethos. It was designed to be flexible, usable across intros, social, and product videos.

Result

The client approved it on the first submission, no revisions! They were thrilled with how it captured their brand in motion. A small win, but one that reminded me that good design is equal parts listening, instinct, and a bit of serendipity.

Key Takeaways

  • Motion identity isn’t just decoration, it’s brand storytelling in action.

  • Listening > guessing. Strong client collaboration made all the difference

  • First-shot wins aren’t common, but when they land, they’re magic.

Digital billboards are an amazing opportunity to get your audience’s attention, and as well as mine. I started my career doing billboards and large format screens and I love working in the medium.

I had the pleasure of working with Pattison Outdoor Advertising to create this high-impact digital billboard for Calgary Stampede 2025.

Caribe Digital Billboard

I partnered with Caribbean agency Salt Water to create this vibrant, refreshing digital billboard for Caribé.

To bring the concept to life, we combined 3D design, digital image editing, and AI-assisted tools to craft visuals that felt bold, immersive, and perfectly tailored to the massive format.

From modeling and texturing to lighting and animation, I handled every detail to craft a visually delicious motion graphic that brought the product to life and made it almost as satisfying to watch as it is to drink.

Digital Design

From HTML5 banners to Lottie, Rive, and email campaigns, digital formats are key to building standout content across Google Ads, apps, games, and inboxes. I enjoy the challenge of designing for different screens, platforms, and user interactions, whether it’s a high-performance ad, in-app animation, or a dynamic email visual. Being able to move fluidly between mediums lets me create content that’s not just technically sound, but genuinely engaging.
